As a locally owned and operated clinic, we're deeply connected to the community — supporting youth programs, sports teams, schools, ski patrols, community events, and wellness initiatives throughout the South Okanagan.
Since opening our first clinic in 1981, we’ve grown alongside the community. In 2004, we expanded with a second location, now based in the Penticton Community Centre since 2012. Today, both our Downtown and Community Centre clinics continue to reflect our commitment to accessible, expert physiotherapy for all.
Operating under one unified name — Dale Charles Physiotherapy Group — we’re proud to serve Penticton with the same trusted team, convenient locations, and high standard of care our community has relied on for decades.
Our History
Dale Charles Physiotherapy Group honours the legacy of Margaret “Dale” Charles – a dedicated clinician, passionate lifelong learner, and devoted wife and mother. Raised in Summerland, Dale earned her degree in Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia and went on to practice in hospitals before opening her own clinic in Penticton in 1981.
Dale was known for her excellence in orthopedic and manual therapy, earning advanced certification and continually expanding her skills throughout her career. She brought a rare combination of clinical expertise, intuition, and creativity to her work, always striving to find answers—especially for patients with complex or persistent conditions. Her commitment to providing the highest standard of care never wavered.
Equally important was Dale’s deep dedication to people. She cared profoundly for her patients and fostered a clinic environment rooted in respect, teamwork, and genuine enjoyment. Her warmth, energy, and unmistakable laugh created a space where both clients and staff felt supported and valued.
Above all, Dale was devoted to her family – her husband and three sons – who, along with her patients and colleagues, were at the heart of everything she did. Her legacy continues to guide the clinic today, reflecting her passion for excellence in physiotherapy and her enduring impact on all who knew her.
