Sports Therapy
Performance-Focused Care for Sport and Active Living
About Sports Therapy
Sports Therapy is a branch of physiotherapy dedicated to supporting active individuals with performance, recovery, injury management, and long-term physical maintenance. Whether you’re managing an ongoing injury, recovering from activity-related strain, preparing for competition, or looking for proactive maintenance and performance support, our team works with you to keep you active and performing confidently in your sport or activity.
Sports Therapy can be used both as injury treatment and as part of an ongoing management plan. Many athletes and active individuals benefit from periodic assessments, movement screenings, recovery sessions, and maintenance treatment to address minor issues before they become larger problems and to support long-term performance and durability.
Our approach combines manual therapy, soft tissue treatment, functional movement training, mobility work, sport-specific rehabilitation, and individualized exercise programs tailored to your sport, position, training demands, and goals. We also identify biomechanical, mobility, strength, or training factors that may contribute to pain, reduced performance, or recurring injuries.
Who It's For / What to Expect
Sports Therapy is suited to athletes and active individuals at every stage — from developing youth athletes to experienced competitors, as well as adults who stay active through recreation, fitness training, or sport. Whether you’re involved in hockey, running, skiing, golf, pickleball, cycling, or general gym training, care is focused on the specific demands of your activity and how your body moves within it.
Your session will begin with an assessment of your movement, strength, mobility, pain, and sport-specific demands. From there, we develop a plan tailored to your goals and activity level.
Treatment may include hands-on therapy, mobility and strengthening exercises, movement retraining, and sport-specific drills to improve performance, reduce pain, and prevent injury. Depending on your needs, care may also include ongoing maintenance and recovery strategies to support long-term performance.
